Drop tester for measuring the hardness of pool and hot tub water - Duke T

Product detailed description
Product specifications:
With a capacity of approximately 100 water hardness tests (actual number depends on sample volume), this water tester offers comprehensive capabilities.
For optimal pool water care, it is essential to regularly monitor water hardness and adjust it if necessary to maintain the ideal range for maximum chemical efficiency. Higher hardness levels can lead to limescale buildup (precipitated calcium carbonate and sulfate) on pool walls and, in extreme cases, even clog pipes in the circulation system.
The tester is supplied in a durable plastic case and includes reagents, measuring cups, detailed instructions for use, and technical information.
How to measure water hardness:
- Method: Drop titration with a step of 1°dH
- Reagents: T1 (120 tests), T2 (120 tests), and T3 (600 drops)
Surface and groundwater hardness typically ranges between 2 and 30°dH, but in some areas, it can reach up to 50°dH.
The numerical classification of water hardness into categories such as soft (up to 8°dH), hard (up to 25°dH), and very hard (above 25°dH) is not strictly defined. Various terms are used, such as "very soft water" or "moderately hard water."
While surface water is usually soft, groundwater tends to be harder.
For drinking water, the regulation No. 252/2004 Coll. recommends a hardness range of 2 - 3.5 mmol/l (11 - 20°dH), which is considered optimal for pools as well. For hot tubs, a hardness level of up to 14°dH is recommended.
