A preparation for reducing the pH value of pool water. The ideal pH value of the water in the hot tub is 7.2 - 7.6 when using chlorine and chlorine-free disinfection, and 7.0 - 7.4 when using oxygen chemistry. If the pH of the pool water leaves these defined areas, problems usually begin. The effectiveness of most disinfectants is directly dependent on the pH value. If the pH is too high, calcium is excreted from the water and the water becomes cloudy. Irritation of the conjunctiva and skin may occur. A higher pH allows algae to grow. The preparation is in the form of yellowish pearls, well soluble in water. The aqueous solution of the preparation reacts acidic, which is why it is easy to adjust the pH from higher values to the optimal pH value of the water.
